Whether it is a family holiday or an escape with friends – there is something here for everybody throughout the year.
Spring comes early in the shape of millions of daffodils bringing signs and hope of warmer times to come. The coastal wild flowers and wild life take over late in the spring – popular with walkers and visitors generally.
Late spring and early summer with the long days and stunning sunsets are the best – if you can take a break at this time of year, you can explore a bit more peacefully as it is not too busy yet.
In the height of summer the main attraction is the glorious sea and golden beaches. Get out in a boat and see the coast line from out at sea, the different perspective will amaze you.
The autumn comes with glorious sunsets and the warmest waters. The county takes a breather after the busy summer life slows down to a normal pace.
Shorter days and longer evenings has its own charm. Winter breaks in front of a cosy fire after a long coastal walk blowing the cobwebs is sometimes the most relaxing of all breaks.

School Holidays in Cornwall
February Half Term
Active family half term at half the price of a ski holiday with golf, tennis, gym, pool and surf for the hardy. Bring the family pet who is allowed on all the local beaches, no need to worry about kennels. Spring comes earlier to Cornwall than the rest of the country and the daffodils peering through the hedges are a welcome sight for many longing for warmer days.
Easter Half Term
Easter Holidays is traditionally the “opening” of the Cornish season when families tend to escape their home towns and cities for a coastal wake up. Longer days and spring flowers well underway makes this a wonderful time to get away and get outside, and there is plenty to do when staying at The Point. With junior golf and tennis coaching on offer, it is great time to get ready for the sporting season ahead. It is a popular time to holiday in Cornwall – so make sure you book your holiday in good time.
May Half Term
The May half term is another wonderful time for the family to escape to Cornwall with the coastal wild flowers at their best and skylarks cheering us up with their wonderful loops. With most properties only a 15 minute walk from the beach – you can easily plan your activities to suit the weather. Morning testing the surf, afternoon playing golf and tennis? Morning playing golf, followed by a family BBQ with the sun setting on the beach. It could not be easier.
Summer Holidays
Family holidays with something to do for everyone in the family. Explore the beaches, go rock pooling and build sandcastles with little people. Play some golf with your friends, or a competitive game of tennis with the family. Explore the coast from a different perspective with paddle boarding or sea kayaking? There are endless activities to fill your days, making fun family memories to remember when you are back at work. Eat ice cream in the day and fresh seafood in the evening. Why not bring Grandma and Grandpa?
October Half Term
The autumn term being the longest in the school calendar, the kids often need a proper break this time of year and it is a good time to escape with the whole family. Don’t pack up your wetsuit just yet – October is known as the surfing month of the year with huge swells on the back of Atlantic storms. It might be chillier in the air, but the seas have only just started cooling down. Make the most of the outdoors before winter sets in with surfing, tennis, golfing or take refuge in our indoor pool if the weather is not on your side.
