Rock is a place where long lunches, waterside suppers and deli picnics come easily. Set along the Camel Estuary, with sailing boats on the water, soft sands underfoot and views across to Padstow, it’s every bit as special as its reputation suggests. Add in a collection of celebrated restaurants, relaxed cafés, independent delis and craft breweries, and it’s easy to see why so many visitors plan their days around where to eat next.
Having gained even more attention recently thanks to Gordon Ramsay’s Netflix documentary, Rock continues to hold its own as one of North Cornwall’s standout places to dine. As locals, we know a thing or two about where to go – so here are some of our favourite places to eat in Rock.

The Mariners
Famously owned by Paul Ainsworth, The Mariners is one of the best-known restaurants in Rock – and for good reason. Set overlooking the Camel Estuary, this two AA Rosette pub pairs exceptional food with one of the village’s most iconic views.
The menu celebrates Cornish produce with elevated takes on classic pub dishes, alongside fresh seafood, seasonal specials and Sharp’s ales on tap. If Porthilly oysters are available, they’re well worth ordering; plucked from across the water, they travel just 500m from shore to table.
The Mariners is also a strong choice for those with dietary requirements, with dedicated vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free menus available. If you’d like to try more of Paul Ainsworth’s restaurants during your stay, hop on the water taxi over to Padstow, where you’ll find Caffè Rojano and Michelin-starred No.6.
Where to stay: Our Slipway properties, including 4, 6, 11, 17 and 23, are just moments away, with Lyonesse slightly further up the road.

Four Boys
For a restaurant with a view, Four Boys is hard to beat. Located just beside the shore, it’s a beautiful spot for sunset drinks, date-night dinners or a long lunch that rolls gently into the evening. True to its name, Four Boys was founded by four brothers and is the sister business to Fee’s Deli. The menu changes regularly, with the kitchen working closely with the seasons and sourcing fresh produce from in and around Rock.
Plates are designed for sharing, with dishes that feel both relaxed and carefully considered. If it’s on the menu, try the brown crab tagliolini, or settle in for half a Cornish lobster with fries and dressed leaves from Aral Farm. For something lighter, stop by for a glass of orange wine and a few nibbles while soaking up the view across the water.
Four Boys also hosts supper clubs both at the restaurant and further afield in Cornwall, so it’s worth keeping an eye on their Instagram if you’re visiting soon.

St Enodoc
Having opened its doors in 2026, St Enodoc is Paul Ainsworth’s latest venture on this side of the water. Overlooking the Camel Estuary, it offers a few ways to settle in – from special-occasion suppers at the Estuary Grill to relaxed pizzas and ice creams at the Flour Garden, or simply drinks on the terrace with beautiful views across the water.
As you’d expect from The Ainsworth Collection, food, drink and service sit at the heart of the experience. The Estuary Grill celebrates Cornwall’s land and sea, with locally sourced meat and fish cooked over fire, alongside dishes inspired by Paul’s Seychellois heritage and the flavours of the Indian Ocean. Meanwhile, the Flour Garden offers a more informal, family-friendly option, with hand-stretched pizzas, salads and light bites – ideal after a sun-drenched day on the beach, or to take back to your holiday home for an easy evening in.

The Dining Room
For a more intimate evening, The Dining Room is one of Rock’s long-standing favourites. Run by husband and wife team Fred and Donna, this small, elegant restaurant has been welcoming diners for more than 15 years, with many returning year after year.
Seating just 30 guests, the dining room has a traditional, special-occasion feel, with white tablecloths, warm service and classic British dishes prepared with care. It’s the kind of place to book for birthdays, anniversaries or a celebratory meal during your holiday.
The Dining Room comes highly recommended and consistently receives glowing reviews, thanks to its friendly atmosphere and accomplished cooking. Open for dinner, we suggest reserving a table in advance to avoid disappointment.

Fee’s Deli
Part café and part deli, Fee’s is a must-visit for anyone staying in or day-tripping to Rock.
Inside, you’ll find freshly made salads, pastries, barista-made coffees, focaccia sandwiches and plenty of sweet treats, alongside shelves, fridges and freezers full of deli supplies. Think prepared meals, picnic essentials, local wine, cider, non-alcoholic cocktails and easy extras for relaxed suppers back at your holiday home.
Whether you’re stopping by for a flat white and a croissant while catching up with friends, or stocking the kitchen for a week of self-catering, Fee’s Deli is one of those places you’ll likely return to more than once.

Bluntrock Brewery
For something more informal, head to Bluntrock Brewery – an independent microbrewery that has quickly become a favourite with locals and visitors alike.
Operating from its instantly recognisable bright yellow shipping containers, Bluntrock offers craft beers, outdoor seating and a relaxed atmosphere, with pub quiz nights and live music adding to its appeal. Run by The Point regulars George and Hugo, it’s a great place to call in after a beach walk, bike ride or day on the water.
On the drinks list, try Pagan Juice or Kanpai, their Japanese rice lager, which is also gluten-free. Food comes courtesy of Fat Pepper, with smash burgers, chicken wings and loaded fries served alongside Bluntrock’s eclectic selection of beers on tap.
